YOUR COMPASSIONATE BADASSERY SUPERPOWER IS: KINDNESS

Your super strength is all about being generous with others.

Kindness takes courage. It takes a big heart and a strong back to stay open-hearted in this cynical world! Kindness is rooted in the belief that other people and animals are worthy of care and attention. You might use your strength to connect with others in meaningful ways, such as deep listening, a thoughtful favor, or by giving your time and money to those in need.

Research on the benefits of the strength of kindness found people who give to others, in small and in large ways, tend to be happier as a result. Kind people are often likable to others, which can provide opportunities to develop meaningful relationships and love. Random acts of kindness have shown to be related to a range of benefits, including greater positive emotions, lower negative emotions, greater well-being, and higher peer acceptance (popularity).

Want to practice compassionate badassery? Lean into being kind to others without causing harm to yourself.

YOUR NEXT STEPS

People with kindness as their superpower can easily fall into over-giving.

If you have trouble saying “no” or setting boundaries with others, then you may be on the fast track to compassion fatigue or burnout. This can lead to feeling numb and disconnected from animals and people.

Take care of yourself by noticing and attending to your needs with the same kindness you offer others.

Ask yourself: What do I need right now? Give to yourself generously.

Remember self-care is never selfish. You’re simply taking care of your best gift to others: your big heart!

WOULD YOU LIKE MORE SUPPORT?

I offer 1-on-1 coaching for individuals. We all need someone in our corner. I’d be honored to be that person for you!
